...shopping spree and blogging home unveiled...

.
Rejoice all! I found myself a blogging spot good enough for several hours of keyboard fingering…when the music gets on my nerves and the amount of coffee makes me shaky then I leave. The place in question is Maison Du Peuple – a café at Parvis du St.-Gilles here in Brussels. If you ever get a chance, drop by the place – it’s not exactly the café opposite the Rough Trade shop in Shoreditch, but it’s a sort of the local Brussels-style version. Supposedly socialist, it offers free Wi-Fi, which is a rare find over here.
So yes, today I’ll tell you about the rare finds.
Last week I’ve been busy bee at work, so the over-excitement about the free time in the weekend resulted in a shopping spree in Antwerp. The Bernhard Willhelm stocksale that I mentioned earlier was held at a small shop in Dambruggestraat called Solar Shop. The concept behind the Solar Shop is the space that can be transformed into a retail point, workshop or an atelier for young creatives. I always loved the volatile spaces and the open-mindedness of the people behind such projects, so that’s what I found over there…well, apart from the beautiful clothes, of course! It felt like hours, and may be it has been hours, but I didn’t have courage to check the time while fitting almost everything to finally walk away with a gorgeous structured jacket and a pair of socks. Next outfit post shall contain the both items so – patience. At home I found out that the jacket is a hand-signed sample piece, so it does tickle my senses when I put it on.

Next up I went to get some cash at Labels Inc.. Finally the Miu Miu wedges were sold. Hooray! If you are the happy owner then, please, love them as much as I did. Then to Walter shop to buy the beaded pendant, but I had an immediate crush on the A’n’D cashmere heels hence the change of mind and the loveliest piece of jewellery in my possession. By the way, talking about jewellery, I absolutely obligate everyone to check the finest jewellery from Brussels by Alice De Wrangel. I’ll be writing a rather detailed post about this girl’s work very soon, because I’m a fan! And may be I’ll get to wear one of her pieces…ok, I’m dreaming away…so back to shopping spree business…

I did eventually make it to RA13, but unfortunately my money didn’t. But once again mentioning this shop – it’s a must see. I found everything I wanted to find – every single garment presented so well, almost that I was hesitant to touch anything. Yet I did – I ran my fingers across the Gareth Pugh diamond studded vest and Louise Goldin futurist body-con dresses. I would love to live among Fabrics Interseason and Henrik Vibskov clothes. Someone help! This concept store is way more amazing than Colette, and should be the main destination for any conscious fashion tourist. Well, I believe it already is, since I’ve got to request the visuals via Dan the Scout, when I could just sneak into the fitting rooms taking pictures of all my favourite garments – the hardcore blogger style. But I’m a nice girl, so I’ll be waiting for Dan’s reply, in the meanwhile, you can follow all press featuring RA13 on their Facebook page.
Further on I’m just showing off my new Casio golden watch and some mint-coloured nailpolish…just showing off, so ignore me.
