subtle clash

.
The second outfit in the series is inspired by my visit to Matogne’s shops all owned by the Pakistani, selling the hair to the Africans. That part of Brussels’ never-ending cycle of commercial life. The prints clash+traditional silhouettes+embellishment. Yet I pick the best elements of each style and keep the décor subtle, therefore shapes become loose and oversized prints transform into the ditsy flower or naïve animal figures, the embellishment only sparkles from within, shyly and sweet.
