Slow and Steady Wins the Race is a new clothing label, presented as a bimonthly clothing diary, cataloguing ideas that are focused on a specific and fundamental characteristic of clothing design.
One of such projects is taking jewellery in focus, rewriting the context of the functional and decorative parts of our habitual objects of adornment. Those parts that never seem apparent, like links and closures of necklaces and earrings play the central role in the new design. I find it fascinating how those spare parts suddenly form complete pieces of jewellery, looking as precious as any handcrafted silver piece. I also love the fact that they constructed multifunctional object like a necklace linked onto earrings, for instance, re-inventing the use of a traditional pearl necklace. Pure beauty and wit!
