Weekday has produced another wonder with a collection entitled 'Today I am strong'! These images are odd and fascinating at the same time and there’s something of Magritte’s surrealism in the styling. I love the round sunglasses, extra long coats, volume and subtle sheen of the fabric, sheer white stockings and golden velvet. Somehow all this makes perfect sense, and once again I’m recalling the phrase of The Sartoralist, who commented that the Swedish girls are so beautiful that they hide themselves underneath volumes of colourless cloth and that the shoes that they wear are almost orthopaedic. This shall always remain the uncompromising and timeless Scandinavian style.
